On June 19th, the SponBIODIV Early Career Researchers Workshop took place, an event that brought together young researchers to discuss the conservation of marine sponges and the importance of integrating science and public policies in this process.

Themed “Bridging Science and Policy for Sponge Conservation,” the event provided a platform for early career researchers to present their work and discuss conservation strategies with scienceĀ – policy communication expert. The exchange of knowledge and experiences aimed to strengthen sponge protection policies and expand collaboration between the scientific community and public policy makers.
