The 3rd Brazilian Symposium on Spongiology (3º SIBESP) will take place from November 10 to 13 at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) in Salvador, Brazil. Participation will be in person only, and the official language will be Portuguese. To date, the event has as confirmed two researchers of the Brazilian SponBIODIV team as keynote speakers, Dr. Eduardo Hajdu (MN-UFRJ), and Dr. Michelle Klautau (UFRJ), and also the Brazilian researchers: Dr. Marinella Laport (UFRJ), Dr. Emilio Lanna (UFBA), Dr. Marcio Custódio (USP), and Dr. Carla Menegola (UFRGS). In addition to inspiring keynote lectures, the program includes oral presentations, poster sessions, and minicourses offering multiple formats for scientific exchange.
